Film and TV Appearances

Dictators drummer J.P. "Thunderbolt" Patterson has been a proud member of the Screen Actor's Guild for more than 15 years and has appeared in well over 100 films and dozens of TV episodes.

Some highlights:

Crack in the Mirror

This cautionary drug tale stars (and was directed by) Robby Benson, with Tawny Kitaen and original MTV VJ Alan Hunter. Don't miss J.P.'s crack-smoking striptease scene with the future Mrs. David Coverdale.

A "Daughter of Mobster" comedy starring Peter (Columbo) Falk, Emily Lloyd and a pre-talk show Rikki Lake. The Thunderbolt plays one of Cookie's friends and appears several times throughout the film.

Boys on the Side

This "chicks on the road" film stars Whoopi Goldberg, Drew Barrymore and Mary Louise Parker. The Voluptous Horror of Karen Black appears briefly towards the beginning of the movie; J.P.'s butt goes quickly by on his way to the stage.

At First Sight

This date-flick weeper stars the dynamic duo of Val Kilmer and Miro Sorvino. J.P. appears as "the waiter" about two thirds of the way through the film, uttering the instant classic, "A glass of red or white?"

Extra Work

J.P.'s extra work includes the films "Fatal Attraction," "Die Hard With a Vengeance," "Almost Famous," "City by the Sea," "People I Know" and "Summer of Sam," as well as the television shows "Search for Tomorrow," "Another World," "Miami Vice," "Law and Order," "Sex and the City," "The Sopranos," "Third Watch," "Oz" and "VH1 Divas Live: The One and Only Aretha Franklin."
